e-Manifest launched June 30, 2018.
Course addresses the generator requirements of the federal EPA Hazardous Waste regulations ("RCRA") and includes the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvement Rule that took effect in May 2017 and how to use the e-manifest system which will be launched by EPA on June 30, 2018.
This in-depth course will take about 8 hours and is geared for those who develop hazardous wastes management programs. The course covers background, terminology, listed and characteristic wastes, universal waste, used oil, empty containers, solvent wiper exemptions, episodic waste generation, generator status satellite accumulation standards, central accumulation standards, recycling, manifesting (paper and electronic versions), and land disposal restrictions.
Online Courses: Students may stop and restart the course at their own pace. The course consists of video, practice problems and an examination. Upon successful completion of an online test, students will be issued a certificate. Students can always call or e-mail an instructor while working on course materials. Students will be provided with an electronic manual that includes all course materials.
